Park Lok #2 - worth the second trip!

For a second celebration of my Ma’s birthday (because she is that special!), my boyfriend took my family out for dinner at Park Lok. Knowing that being Cantonese my parents would have set high standards – we were keen to get their thoughts! And the verdict? Just as we had expected, the food at Park Lok was well received by both Mum and Dad. Exclamations were made as to how difficult it was to find decent, and more importantly consistent, Cantonese food. More often than not with Chinese food, you get an outstanding dish only to have all your excitement dashed by a sub par dish to follow. Tonight we ordered the following; oyster omelet, salt and pepper soft shell crab, garlic Chinese broccoli, steamed scallops with shallots and vermicelli, and taro duck.

This blog post doesn't need too many words – you should really go try Park Lok. Once again service was lovely courtesy of front house Manager Eddie Tan (of Mamak Corner fame). Although our taro duck was left off the initial order accidently,  he was quick to follow this up and minimised the wait to 5 minutes. Not much time in the grand scheme of things.

 Park Lok retains 8/10 chops on the chopping board – solid Chinese fare!
