|The Lion Burger|
It's a classic style pub burger, on a larger focaccia style bun, served with shoestring fries. The patty is thick, cooked to well done with an ok level of char. It's your normal pub style patty, slightly meatloaf-y, with lots of herbs and a very well minced mix of beef. Salads are fresh, a little sauce makes for needed moisture. One great feature of the Lion is their stash of free condiments, mostly all from Beerenberg, and are great for dipping fries in or customizing the burger. The burger is a good burger, not the style that I enjoy the most, but still a good pub burger.
The Lion Hotel service is normal pub service, and has a friendly atmosphere. It's always busy, and sitting out on the verandah on a sunny afternoon is always relaxing. There are a lot of items on both Lion menus, and I'll be sure to return to try some more.
Nathan gives the Lion Burger 13.5/20 chops on The Chopping Board.
