HORNER AND PRATT - 31 EAST TERRACE, ADELAIDEWanting to try somewhere different to eat during my lunch break, my friends mentioned Horner and Pratt. So without question in my hunger induced state of went for a walk down to East Terrace. I have walked past this place many times and have not noticed it there! The upstairs and downstairs areas are an eclectic mix of mismatched furniture from what I think is the 60's and 70's creating a casual retro-hipster feel.
In addition to the food and coffee, Horner and Pratt also has a good range of freshly made juices. OK, so now to the food!
B.T.T - $14
After trying the B.T.T, my friends and I decided that we would visit a second time to try some of H&P's other dishes. Second and third on the menu were the Pulled Pork ($14) and the Chicken Burger ($14).
Pulled pork wrap - $14
Chicken burger - $14
Both meals were served with a salad (raw and cold - nothing wrong with that), however taste was lacking. A little dressing/seasoning would not have gone astray.
Latte - $3.50 and Berry Smoothie - $6
Ambiance: 3.5/5 - Great little lunch spot. Nice location and a great spot to catch up with friends.
Service: 2.5/5 - Standard service. Cannot expect any more from a little lunch time location.
Food: 6/10 - Fresh tasting food, points off for the wrap, burger and lack lustre salad. Having said that...I would go back for the B.T.T!
In total, Mirko gives Horner and Pratt 12/20 chops on the chopping board.
