E'nuf Burger Bar - Surprisingly more than E'nuf.

E'nuf Burger Bar - 563 Anzac Highway, Glenelg North, 5045

Away from the hustle and bustle of Jetty Road is e'nuf Burger Bar on Anzac Highway. Although not walking distance to the beach, it's worth stopping here to grab some take away on the way.

On this occasion boyfriend and I (Jess) went for Beer Battered Onion Rings, Big e'nuf Beef Burger and Tandoori Chicken Burger. Given it was just the two of us, this was the extent to which we could diversify our options.

Beer Battered Onion Rings were sweet and succulent rings of onion encased in crisp, salty batter. Delicious and very moreish, I wish we had ordered the large....times 2! Instead we ordered a side of regular chips. Although these were okay, the fact that I don't have a proper photo of them is good enough indication of how uninspired I was. Just get more onion rings.

The beef patty of the Big E'nuf was juicy and tender, matched with crisp cos lettuce and thick slices of tomato. Brioche bun was lightly toasted with a fluffy interior, and was sweet without being overpowering. This burger was tasty and didn't leave you feeling grease laden and guilty - but this also meant it wasn't as exciting, shouldn't burgers always be a guilty pleasure? Do not be fooled by the size of the burgers in the photos; although appearing small they were dense and filling.

As with the Big e'nuf, the ingredients of the Tandoori Chicken burger were fresh and of quality. It was flavorful yet we were left wanting for a stronger hint of spice. Also, the use of chicken breast meant the burger was a little on the dry side. This might be due to my dislike of using chicken breast meat for anything. However, I am aware of a lot of people would dispute my claims that chicken breast is the worst part of a chicken! So maybe it really is just me but try at your own "this burger is dry" peril!

Lastly, it should be mentioned that e'nuf gives you the opportunity to choose the type of bread to form your burger; be it sesame, wholemeal, white damper, sweet brioche or even gluten free! This choice means you can completely change the taste and feel of you burger depending on your mood. But of course how could we go past brioche?

Jess gives e'nuf Burger Bar 14/20 chops on The Chopping Board.
