Laksa House 2, 45 Flinders St, Adelaide
Quite often, on a Friday morning, I'll look at my wallet and
realise, there’s $10 left, and I'm going to need to buy some lunch. By the time
12pm comes around, I've also realised that my normal budget go to - Roast Pork Banh Mi from Bread Temptations, isn't going to cut it.
I have a few places I usually head to in this situation,
Chinatown Café, NanYang or Laksa House. This particular Friday, a good buddy
of mine was working over the southeast side of the city, and I was in need of
a Laksa. 10 minutes later we were sitting at the front of Laksa House 2 waiting for
2 Laksa’s to be brought to our table.

For less than $10, you can get a decent sized small bowl of
Laksa. There is a decent amount of chicken, tiny prawns, tofu and noodles in
the dish. The broth is well balanced, not overly salty or creamy, and with a
decent hit of chilli. Come here at lunch time, and you will be
struggling to get a table straight away, but most people are in and out in 10
minutes. The laksa comes out hot and pretty quick if you're in a hurry. The service is competent, and the place is always buzzing.
For a cheap eat, when you don't have the time to get to
Chinatown or you've got to meet somewhere in the middle, Laksa house is the
place to go.
