Menulog - it's lazy and we love it.

If you're not familiar with it, Menulog is an online takeaway food service with over 3,500 registered restaurants around Australia. For us, the advantage of ordering via Menulog is the level of convenience and being able to take advantage of a plethora of discounts and offers.

Ordering online is easy.

Nathan was out of town (Again! We're beginning to think he doesn't like us anymore) so Mirko and Camellia rocked up to my place in Upper Sturt. We were soon online and entering my postcode to find out what was on offer. Somewhat disappointingly, the search results returned only one place we could purchase from, but luckily we were all keen for Indian and started racking up our order.

We browsed through popular dishes, entrees, vegetarian and meat dishes with ease, the site's simplistic design is easy to navigate and uncluttered. Each time we selected an item, we were prompted to select how spicy we wanted it - this is a fantastic feature to have, especially when ordering Indian takeaway! On the right hand side of the screen, our order was populating and giving us a running total. We were soon at $120 and ready to head to the checkout where we were given 10% off, just for our first order. Zing!

Checking out is easy; I entered my name, address and contact details and then moved on to a simple and secure payment gateway. Moments later, I received a personalised SMS from the restaurant and two emails. The first email welcomed me to Menulog, the second confirmed my order and had a tax invoice attached.

The order was delivered ten minutes late which was not at all surprising because our house isn't very easy to find. The delivery driver was super polite and handed us the order in a box. The food was warm but not piping hot, and was packed and presented well.

A little late but it arrived safe sound and warm.

All in all, to go from ordering takeaway to eating it 37 minutes later in the Adelaide Hills is outstanding! Next time I use Menulog, I'll probably be at someone else's house closer to the city where the options might be greater.
