The Dangerous Dibble
Baked gooooooods |
A bright new self run business has popped up in Adelaide delivering baked sweets and savouries to the doorsteps of the willing. Mirko and I (Camellia) were fortunate enough to sample a few goods free of charge
Chorizo & Thyme Scones |
Brandy Prune Brownies |
.
Alexis, the owner of the small business delivered some freshly baked treats to my doorstep on a Tuesday morning. She handed over a paper bag containing adorably packaged chorizo and thyme scones, as well as some brandy soaked prune brownies. The scones were fresh out of the oven and as Alexis explained, none of the products ever sees a fridge or freezer.

CAMELLIA: I really enjoyed this brownie, it looked absolutely perfect and I am a huge fan of prunes (which I tend to not tell people, but have now posted on the internet). It was super dark and chocolatey with a nice bitterness, not too sweet and the prunes added some different texture and taste. Since they were soaked they were really soft and not at all chewy so didn't impact on the eatability of the brownie.
MIRKO: These brownies looked awesome out of the box but did not have the typical brownie texture that I was expecting. Having said this, they tasted nice and the prune is something different. I can't say that I loved these as much as Cam did, but maybe that is because I am not as huge of a prune fan.

CAMELLIA: I was super impressed with these scones, they were so darn perfect I actually got envious when I cracked one apart and it crumbled softly with just the right amount of give. They were buttery and really well seasoned I suppose my only complaint would be that there wasn't as much chorizo as I was expecting but the taste was still there.
MIRKO: I received these a little bit after Cam but with a quick zap in the microwave I could imagine how great they would have been fresh out of the oven. I do agree that more chorizo would have been good.
So if you're interested in being lazy and eating both dessert and/or morning tea at home check out the website and order some goods to your (or a friends) doorstep! Just remember to change out of your pajamas first...
