Wafels and Dinges -  NYC Food Truck

I was told about Wafels and Dinges by a friend of mine at work and being one with a sweet tooth I thought this was something I had to try. Wafels and Dinges is a Food Truck which serves Belgian Waffles of both the savoury and sweet variety. 

Patrons have the option of either selecting from a number of 'specialty' waffles or you can create your own waffle with specific ingredients of your choosing. I opted for a basic peanut butter waffle. At $6.00 for a basic waffle and spread I think that this is a little steep with some of their specialty waffles increasing to between $8.00 - $10.00 in price.

On this occasion, the peanut butter was spread nice and thick and when coupled with the warm waffle, melted throughout the top and into each of the pockets allowing me to get some nice peanut butter action throughout. However, the waffle itself was not as light and airy as I had hoped and as a result was a little dry for my liking.

If you are in the mood for waffles and are around the Wall Street area on a Friday, give Wafels and Dinges a try. Speaking to my friends, they commented that they really enjoyed their waffles so hopefully my waffle issues were a once off.
