Feast on Foot - Sip & Stroll Walking Bar Tour

Feast on Foot - https://www.feastonfoot.com/

On the 28th of October 2016, On The Chopping Board (OTCB) were one of the very first to experience the brand new Feast On Foot Sip and Stroll Walking Bar Tour.  The tour and all drinks were provided on behalf of Feast on Foot.

The Infamous Pickle Back!
Lets be honest, I (Amanda) like a drink or two especially on a Friday evening after a hard week at work, so this walking bar tour had my name all over it!  Meeting the tour at Hindmarsh Square in the Adelaide CBD, I had my flat walking shoes on and was ready to discover and support some of Adelaide's small bars.  Always checking out the newest bars as they open, I didn't think I would actually visit a bar on the tour that I hadn't already been to but Feast on Foot proved me wrong.  I won't disclose the bars we visited on this tour as that will take all the fun out of it!  The suspense and trying to guess where the informative tour guide is leading you to is all part of the enjoyment.

A flight of....?!
What I will tell you is that this is no ordinary have a sip on a boring everyday beverage in a bar walking tour but one where you have the opportunity to try a speciality spirit in each bar with the bartender providing all the juicy details as to what the drink is all about.  Lets just say, I had my very first pickle back and if you have not tried this beverage before then book your tour ticket now. Bottoms up!

The walking tour covers some good ground across Adelaide CBD with small stops in-between the four bars we visited for the tour guide to share some fun facts, history, culture and love for all things Adelaide.  I can honestly say that after living in Adelaide all my life, I even learnt new things about Adelaide I did not know, so this tour is great for both locals and tourists.

One smooth house made spirit
The Sip and Stroll tour is an awesome way to start the weekend, discover some of Adelaide's small bars, try each bar's speciality drink, meet new people and learn a little about Adelaide's street art scene, culture and history.  My top tips would be to wear shoes you can easily walk in, have a decent lunch before the tour to line the stomach and be open to trying new drinks.  Coincidentally I already had a burger date with friends at the conclusion of the tour, which completed my fun and exciting night and helped to soak up some of the alcohol!

The Sip & Stroll tour is $79 and runs every Friday night at 6pm during Spring and Summer. Check out the Feast on Foot website for full tour and booking details.  Feast on Foot also have two foodie tours named 'The Adelaide Feast' and 'The Dumpling Feast' if you would rather eat your way through Adelaide!
