NYC Quick Chop! Dizengoff NYC

Dizengoff NYC - 75 9th Avenue, NYC, 10011

After speaking to my fellow OTCB team back home in Australia, I (Mirko) was told about an Israeli street food location called Dizengoff NYC, located at the Chelsea Markets. Not having had such dishes since I last visited some friends of mine over that side of the world, I decided that I would give this place a go!

Beef Hummus, Salad, Pita and Lemonnana - $15

After looking at the Hummus menu, I opted for the Hummus with beef. The flavours instantly reminded me of the dishes that I had when I was in Dubai. The Hummus was smooth and creamy with the beef and slivered almonds adding additional textures to the dish. The pita bread (made onsite in their own oven), was warm and fresh and nicely scooped up the hummus and beef mixture. The salad, whilst simple in its ingredients had a nice acidity from the dressing and pickled vegetables.

This meal was topped off with a Lemonnana (mint lemonade slushy) again made onsite. The Lemonnana had a nice kick and was refreshing (especially on such a warm and humid day!).

If you haven't had a chance to try Dizengoff, head down to the Chelsea Markets and give it a go!
