Sean's Kitchen - Rock In & Roll Out Burger Menu

Sean's Kitchen - North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000

Our Burger feast!
On The Chopping Board (OTCB) was invited to Sean's Kitchen to try the new Rock In and Roll Out express lunch menu. All food and beverages were provided on behalf of Sean's Kitchen, a restaurant within the Adelaide Casino. The new Rock In and Roll Out menu consists of four burgers that covers a variety of tastes and will have you fulfilling cravings nice and quick and back to the office before anyone notices!

Gin & Tonics to start the lunch right!
On this day of burger tastings the whole OTCB team of 4 were able to have a rare lunch together (thanks to Mirko for flying in from New York for this one!) and therefore we ordered all four burgers to share between us.

Cheeseburger $10
The 'Cheeseburger' is a 160g Angus beef patty with mustard mayo, ketchup and pickles, and is your traditional and reliable go-to burger that does not disappoint.  A nice pink centre in the middle of the juicy patty is what we love and with a good squirt of mustard mayo and ketchup and a tang of the pickles it was one tasty treat. The bun (across all burgers) is perfect in size and texture for the burger and with the american cheese all melted and salty, puts this burger on our favourites list.

Onion Bhaji Burger $10
The Onion Bhaji Burger with cucumber, yoghurt and mint is a new alternative for vegetarian eaters who are so done with veggie patties. You must be a lover of onions as the taste is strong, the onion rings are nicely fried and the yoghurt and mint sauce gives it a nice fresh taste. We would recommend you order a side or two with this burger as on its own, we don't think it would be very filling. Vegetarians need protein too - so just another reason to get yourself a side of Mac and Cheese!

Pulled Pork Burger $12
The 'Pulled Pork Burger' with slaw, jalapenos, chipotle mayo and pickled onion was another favourite around the table.  With a generous amount of pulled pork and slaw, it had a good balance with a kick of the chipotle mayo and jalapenos, some sweetness from the brioche bun and acidity from pickled onion, it was a winning burger for us. We could taste the smokiness of the pork which added great depth and made for a satisfying feed.

Fish Burger $12
The 'Fish Burger' with battered fish, lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce was also well received around the tasting table.  We can't say we order fish burgers regularly and will mostly order meat based burgers but we all enjoyed this burger.  The fish was battered well, not too thick or oily and had a good crunch around the tender fish.  Combined with the refreshing elements of lettuce and tomato, the match made in heaven tartar sauce, we were pleased to give this burger a try. If you're a big fan of the ol' 'fish and chups', you'd love this burger, the buns help to keep your fingers grease free, and that's a plus in our books, what with rushing back to the office, who wants grease stains on their shirt?

Duck Fat Chips $6
You can't have burgers and not add the duck fat chips, these are always seasoned so well.  Not so crunchy today but forgiven due to the finger licking seasoning we love here at Sean's.

Mac and Cheese $11
We may have also snuck in a serve of Sean's famous Mac and Cheese, which did not disappoint.  So thick, creamy and cheesey with that amazing baked cheesy crust on top, it gets us everytime! Not sure if there is a better mac and cheese in Adelaide but if someone has a competitor for us please let us know in the comments below.  Any excuse for us to try more mac and cheese. We may have had to fight over the last spoon of mac and cheese today, as it was that good!

Our Dessert Spread
Somehow we couldn't say no to dessert and ended up trying a selection of desserts consisting of a coco pop donut, a dry freeze raspberry donut, a lemon meringue donut filled with ice cream and lemon curd and Sean's softie of the month with chocolate, salted caramel and all the trimmings our stomach desired! Check out Sean's doughnuts daily as the flavours change on the regular.

Lets just say we definitely lived up to the menu title today... we rocked in and we rolled out!

The Rock In & Roll Out Menu
The Rock In and Roll Out menu is available Monday to Friday from 11am until 3pm for a limited time.
