Crack Kitchen - 13 Franklin Street, Adelaide SA 5000
Conveniently, Crack Kitchen has opened up very close to my workplace but for some reason has taken me too long to finally visit. I (Amanda) make arrangements to meet a couple of friends for a quick weekday lunch, mid crazy work schedule. I arrive and am excited for the front automatic doors to open for me, once an old bank, now a whole other minimalistic decor with a very clean feel.
We settle into the table we are assigned on entry (no bookings taken here). Seating is mostly located along one long white wall, making me feel slightly OCD nervous with the perfection of it all. The large windows along the wall do bring in some lovely natural light, which is much needed with the cold feeling from the concrete flooring.
The menu is an all day brunch menu, which consists mostly of breakfast egg type dishes. Luckily there are four lunch type dishes to choose from today, as poached eggs was not something I felt like at 1pm between work meetings.
They take their coffee seriously here, as there is a large section on the menu dedicated to explaining the types of milk, coffee beans, blends and methods they use. I make note that I will have to return for a morning takeaway coffee another time.
