Doss Blockos - Pale Lager |
Beer: Pale Lager
Alcohol/Volume: 4.6%
Brewer: Doss Blockos, Punt Rd, St Kilda
First sip mental image: Flowers – summer garden – sunshine and spring
Colour: Honey golden in colour. Clear with no cloudiness.
How did it taste? Wow – first taste is sweet fruit with a hint of perfume. Quite aromatic with a undertone of citrus through the palate. That first few sips are all fruit, with a light tinge of hoppiness and malt. After a few sips the palate adjusts to the fruitiness and it smooths out to be a nice sweet lager with a small dash of hops and bitterness hitting the taste buds.
Under what circumstances would I drink a six pack?
A good daytime beer. The beer is easy to drink with a nice balance of malt, fruit and bitterness. Nice warm weekend, BBQ, six pack and say bye bye.
Suggested accompanying food?
Pretzels. Salt and toasted sweet bread-like snacks.
