Pirate Life - Pale Ale

pirate life, pale ale, beer, craft beer

Beer:  Pirate Life Pale Ale
Alcohol/Volume: 5.4%
Brewer: Pirate life - Hindmarsh SA. piratelife.com.au

How was the palate prepared? Fresh – a long Friday in the office!

First sip mental image: Passionfruit!

Colour: Caramel/golden/orange colour and clear with no cloudiness at all. The head poured easily and stayed around for most of the consumption phase.

How did it taste? Smack me in the face with florally stone fruit/passionfruit and citrus. Drink this next to a NZ savvy B! Great hop depth. Smacks the palate with hoppy authority and balances this out with a sweet tropical fruitiness. Fantastic balance…

Suggested accompanying food? I’d have one beer by itself…immerse yourself in a beer that strikes the right chords when it comes to getting all the different pale ale elements together. Then, enjoy a couple with pulled pork slider and shoestring fries.

Under what circumstances would I drink a six pack? Friday lunch. You have clocked off from work (cause you have a great boss and you have worked hard all week). You have chosen an American styled diner that offers a chunky ruben, pulled pork burgers and ribs galore. Sit back, fill up on salty, tasty food and sip on 6 or so of these tasty pale ales.
